Join us this Wednesday to show European heads of state and government that we won’t accept a Europe of national selfishness and xenophobia, which shields itself from desperate men, women and children fleeing war. We won’t accept walls being raised between us, in complete disregard of Europe’s founding values of solidarity and unity.
With this symbolic action we want to attract media attention and show Europeans will not give in to fear. We will therefore be joined by European and national decision-makers including Martin Schulz, Federica Mogherini, Gianni Pittella, Sergei Stanishev, Elio Di Rupo and many more.
We’re counting on you to come along and bring your friends! The louder our voices, the louder our call will be for solidarity and collective responsibility towards refugees.
Our demands are clear. We want:
– Humanitarian aid
– Financial support for countries facing the brunt of the crisis
– Solidarity and relocation for the refugees
– Support for Schengen
– A revision of the European rules on asylum
Partner organisations invited:
